Computer Lab
We believes in providing the best possible opportunities to its students as well as faculty to ensure consistent eminence. The IT infrastructure includes two computer laboratories, each equipped with advanced technologies. Computer learning at Riverdale Convent School starts right from Prep where the tiny tots get the exposure to the technology through play way method. This lab offers learning, aided by sound and graphics. The Lab has Multimedia PC with all required software packages.
Computer Lab allows the students as well as faculty to research extensively by accessing the information on the global network during and after the school hours.
Senior Computer Lab caters to the students of class IX and X learning C, C++ and Oracle. It facilitates the transition from IT learning through the play-way method to advanced technologies like MS Office, VB, Oracle, HTML and Flash.
Science Laboratory
The Science laboratory experiences provide opportunities for students to interact directly with the material or with data drawn, using the tools, data collection techniques, models and theories of science. Our labs are well equipped with the latest apparatus. This helps students to develop a deep understanding of the science content, as well as an understanding of the nature of science, the attitudes of science and skills of scientific reasoning. All students get the opportunity to participate in laboratory investigations in a safe environment. We have well equipped separate Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Laboratories.
The standards maintained in the Physics, Chemistry and Biology Laboratories conform to International Programmes and Examination standards.Be it the microscopic analysis of unicellular or multi-cellular organisms, the study of the electro-magnetic spectrum or the observations of the chemical reactions, our science laboratories with a capacity for thirty students to work concurrently, provide the space, the equipment and the safety standards that allow high quality practical work in science learning to happen very effectively and unhindered
French Laboratory
In continuing effort to equip students with proficiency in communication skill, the school has installed French Lab. The school has been providing various platforms to develop and refine the students’ language efficiency. The installation of the lab has been an important step to provide an opportunity for the students to learn basic phonetics in accordance with the IPA (International Phonetic Association). The lab has provided another dimension to language learning as it makes learning easy and interesting.
The lab is an extension of the ICT system (TeachNext) that has been installed in the school. It is connected to the TeachNext server which provides the needed software. The students have started exploiting this given opportunity to their benefit. The lab will go a long way in enhancing the students’ efficiency in their language.
